All of our window’s lock hardware is securely attached to metal reinforcement hidden inside the vinyl. If you look closely at the image you will see how the screws from the latch screw directly through the metal and the vinyl instead of just screwing through the vinyl like the other vinyl window brands.
Designed with security as a top priority, a continuous interlocking rail in conjunction with the window locks prevents any intruder from being able to open the window from the outside. All of our locking hardware has passed strict forced entry tests.
For additional security, you can change out the SM-89 glass for the “Safeguard impact” glass. There is an increase in the price, but the security increases dramatically for only a small decrease in efficiency. See our video on how this glass performs here!
