At Krasiva Windows & Doors, we take precision to the next level. Every replacement window and door we order is custom-sized to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. This ensures a proper fitting unit that guarantees smooth and effortless operation for years to come.

The openings in spec homes are built for standard sized windows. Ideally, the openings are also built square. As the house settles over time however, they get knocked out of square. This movement bends the frame of the installed windows, making them difficult to operate.

If you replace these windows with the same standard size windows, like what you would find on the shelf at a big box store, you will have to force and pry the them into an opening that is no longer square. They will not function any better than the old windows you took out. Replacement windows must instead be downsized slightly so that you have room in the crooked opening to level and square them. Allowing your new windows to operate correctly.
